How the assistant answers
Every answer is built from two things you can check. The first is evidence: passages retrieved from standards, guidance and papers that ValiTrac is licensed to use, each shown with its title and section so you can open the source yourself. The second is arithmetic: when a question needs a number, such as an expanded uncertainty, a guard band or a mean kinetic temperature, the sum is run by the same tested engineering code as the free calculators, not estimated by the language model.
Each answer then carries a status. Validated means every claim was matched to retrieved evidence and every number came from the engine. Needs review means one of those checks did not pass, and the answer says which. Nothing is ever marked approved: decisions that affect a product, a certificate or an audit stay with a qualified person.
