Most of this site is free. One thing is not.

All 17 calculators and all 139 articles are free and need no account. There is a single paid product — the ISO/IEC 17025 documentation pack — and one service quoted per job. That is the whole price list.

Everything on the site

Freeno account

Not a trial, not a freemium tier with the useful parts removed. The calculators run in your browser, so there is no cost to cover and nothing you enter leaves your machine.

  • 17 calculators and simulators, all client-side
  • 139 articles with their sources cited
  • The AI assistant, answering from an evidence base of public-domain standards
  • Checklists, templates, learning paths, the glossary and the standards index
  • Pt100 and thermocouple reference tables
  • Three complete documents from the 17025 pack, no email required

ISO/IEC 17025 documentation pack

$299USD, one-off

A complete management system for a calibration laboratory preparing for accreditation, written as one system so every procedure references the forms it produces and the procedures it depends on.

  • 116 documents in Word and PDF, yours to edit and rebrand
  • Quality manual written clause by clause against the standard
  • 33 procedures, 50 forms and worksheets, 6 checklists, 6 guides
  • GUM measurement uncertainty calculator
  • GMP validation and thermal mapping set that comparable packs do not bundle
  • One payment. No subscription, no per-seat licence, no renewal

Mapping report review

Quotedper study

An independent read of your temperature mapping report before an auditor gives you theirs — or send the raw logger data and get the analysis and a draft report back.

  • Fixed quote before any work begins, with no obligation
  • No hourly billing
  • Findings tied to the specific guidance behind each one
  • Raw data recalculated independently where you supply it
  • A person decides; the calculation engine only computes

What you are not paying for

It is worth being explicit about this, because the documentation market is full of claims that do not survive contact with an assessor.

  • Accreditation

Nobody can sell you that. It is granted by an accreditation body after assessing what your laboratory actually does. ValiTrac is not an accredited laboratory and grants no approval.

  • Compliance

A document describes an intention. Compliance is a property of your practice and your records, and the gap between the two is what an assessment looks for.

  • The standards themselves

ISO/IEC 17025 and the other standards referenced are copyright documents you buy from the publisher. Nothing here reproduces them, and the pack assumes you hold the current edition.

  • A guarantee of approval

Any seller offering one is describing something they do not control.

Questions

Are the calculators really free?
Yes, and without an account. Every calculator on the site runs in your browser, which is why there is nothing to charge for — the arithmetic happens on your machine and nothing you type is sent anywhere. They are free because they are the best demonstration of whether the rest of the work is any good, not as a trial that expires.
What does the ISO/IEC 17025 pack cost?
$299 USD, paid once. There is no subscription, no per-seat licence and no renewal. It covers 116 documents written as a single management system — a quality manual written clause by clause, 33 procedures, 50 forms, 6 checklists, 6 guides, a GUM uncertainty calculator and a GMP validation and thermal mapping set. Three complete documents are free to download first, without giving an email address, so the quality can be judged before paying.
Does buying the pack make my laboratory accredited?
No, and anyone selling documents on that basis is misleading you. Accreditation is granted by an accreditation body after assessing what your laboratory actually does, not what its documents say. A documentation pack removes the months of drafting; it does not remove the assessment, the technical competence, the proficiency testing or the records of real work. ValiTrac is not an accredited laboratory and grants no approval of any kind.
How much does the mapping report review cost?
It is quoted per study, because the work scales with the number of sensors and the complexity of the space — a pharmacy refrigerator and a high-bay warehouse are not comparable jobs. Send the report and you get a fixed quote before any work starts. There is no hourly billing and no obligation to proceed after the quote.
Is there a subscription?
No. There is nothing on this site billed monthly or annually. The pack is a one-off purchase, report review is quoted per job, and everything else is free. If that changes, it will change for new purchases and not retrospectively.
Who handles VAT and payment?
Checkout is handled by a payment provider acting as merchant of record, which makes them the legal seller and makes EU and UK VAT on the digital download their liability rather than ours. VAT is calculated and shown at checkout according to your location. Card details are entered on their page and never touch this site.
What licence comes with the pack?
It is licensed for use and adaptation inside your own organisation — edit the documents, put your own name and logo on them, build your management system from them. It is not licensed for resale as templates, or for distribution to third parties as a product. Consultants using it as the basis of client deliverables should ask before assuming.
Can I see something before I pay?
Three complete documents are free to download with no email address required: an adoption guide, a readiness checklist, and the measurement uncertainty procedure — which is included precisely because it is the hardest document in the pack and the fairest test of whether the rest is worth buying. A free sample that demands an address is a bait-and-switch, so these do not.

Judge it before you pay for it

3 complete documents from the pack are free to download, with no email address asked for. One of them is the measurement uncertainty procedure, which is the hardest document in the set and the fairest test of whether the other 113 are worth $299.

Still deciding whether you need a pack at all? The ISO/IEC 17025 hub explains what the standard asks for, free, and may save you the purchase.
