Sensor Calibration Cross-Reference Log

Every sensor used in a study with calibration certificate, uncertainty and pass/fail.

Purpose

The cross-reference of every sensor and reference instrument used in a study to its calibration certificate, uncertainty, as-found error at the study conditions, calibration validity, and the pre-study and post-study verification results, so that the traceability and uncertainty of the study data are demonstrated.

What it covers

  • Authorisation

How to complete it

  1. 1.Complete for every logger, probe and reference used; attach or reference certificates.
  2. 2.Record the certificate's as-found error nearest the study set point and its expanded uncertainty; confirm the certificate covers the study range and is valid for the study dates.
  3. 3.Pre-verification: compare each logger with the reference at one point before placement; post-verification after retrieval; pass criterion per protocol (default +/- 0.3 degC).
  4. 4.Any sensor failing post-verification is flagged and its data assessed in the report.
