Temperature Calibration Worksheet

Raw data, references, environment and calculations for a temperature calibration.

Purpose

The technical record for a temperature calibration under SOP-21: item configuration, reference standards and pre-use checks, medium and immersion, environment, raw readings at each point, calculations, uncertainty and checks. It must allow the calibration to be repeated and its uncertainty reconstructed.

What it covers

  • Item details
  • Reference standards and equipment
  • Environment
  • Set-up
  • Readings
  • Uncertainty and decision rule
  • Deviations, observations and nonconforming work
  • Checks
  • Authorisation

How to complete it

  1. 1.Complete every field at the time of the observation; strike through unused rows.
  2. 2.Record raw reference readings in the observed units (ohm, mV) and the converted temperature; record UUT readings at the resolution displayed.
  3. 3.Record immersion depth, medium, stabilisation time and the immersion test result where performed.
  4. 4.Attach logger exports / bridge printouts with file names.

Before you use it

  • Replace every square-bracket token, starting with [LABORATORY NAME], [ADDRESS] and [EFFECTIVE DATE]. The full token list is in GD-01 Read Me First.
