Electrical Calibration Worksheet

Raw data, references and calculations for a DC/LF electrical calibration.

Purpose

The technical record for an electrical calibration under SOP-24: reference calibrator / DMM and their pre-use checks, UUT configuration, warm-up, per-function and per-range readings with applied values, frequency, reference corrections, errors, specification and conformity, uncertainty and checks.

What it covers

  • Item details
  • Reference standards and equipment
  • Environment
  • Readings
  • Uncertainty and decision rule
  • Deviations, observations and nonconforming work
  • Checks
  • Authorisation

How to complete it

  1. 1.Record the UUT's configuration (auto-range, filter, averaging) and warm-up time; record the manufacturer's specification edition and confidence level used for conformity.
  2. 2.For each point record the applied (or measured) reference value, its correction source (certificate interpolation / specification), and two UUT readings.
  3. 3.Record lead / connection details for low-level and four-wire measurements, and shunt details for high current.
  4. 4.Record any adjustment and the constants where visible.

Before you use it

  • Replace every square-bracket token, starting with [LABORATORY NAME], [ADDRESS] and [EFFECTIVE DATE]. The full token list is in GD-01 Read Me First.
  • Have the content technically reviewed against how your laboratory actually works, then approved by the responsible manager before it becomes a controlled document.
  • Update the Word fields after editing so the table of contents and page numbers are correct: select all, then press F9.
  • Record the document in your own document register and set its review date.
